As a result of our continued growth, we are seeking a passionate, driven and enthusiastic candidate to join our team for the position of Project Manager. This position will be based out of our Head Office in Guelph, ON with travel to numerous properties to oversee the implementation of our capital plan.

Compensation: Starting at $80,000.00 annually plus bonus
 
Job Description:
Do you thrive in a fast-paced, professional and fun environment?  As a Project Manager you will plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance staff, contractors, and suppliers concerned with capital expenditures to ensure that all building and project work is completed in a timely manner, within budgetary guidelines. This role oversees capital expenditure projects on existing assets within our residential properties across Canada. The ideal candidate is a self motivated, organized individual with a strong construction background and the ability to deal with people on a professional level, all the while supporting Skyline’s shared goal of creating meaningful value and an exceptional experience for our customers, our people, and our communities.
 
What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing CAPEX work and construction projects, and helping with cost analysis when needed, while keeping everything on budget.
  • Acting as the main point of contact and help keep projects on track, working closely with other Skyline teams to make sure everything comes together successfully.
  • Reporting on project progress, construction updates, quantity surveys, and deficiency reviews.
  • Reviewing spending to make sure resources are used well, work follows approved site plans, and any risks or quality issues are flagged early.
 
What we look for:
  • Strong experience with all aspects of residential property maintenance and construction. 
  • Proven relevant mechanical/electrical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints as applied to technical areas.
  • Knowledge of Regional policies, procedures, and standards; industry standards; municipal by-laws; local utilities' standards; American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers standards; as well as related Provincial legislation.
  • Experience managing tradespeople and coordinating their various functions.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in construction, residential or commercial property management, or other related industry.
  • Certified Project Management Associate (CPMA) or other related designation an asset.
  • A valid driver’s license required.
