Vice President, Information Technology

We are seeking a passionate, driven, and experienced candidate to join our team for the position of Vice President, Information Technology, located at our Head Office in Guelph, Ontario. 

Job Description

The strategic and results-driven Vice President, Information Technology will oversee all IT functions across Skyline's group of companies, ensuring that our technology, systems, and processes align with business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation. This senior leadership position plays a key role in collaborating with executive leadership to develop and execute IT strategies that support business growth. 

What you'll be doing:

• IT Strategy & Leadership: develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring strong governance, security, and operational efficiency 
• Operations & Infrastructure Management: oversee IT operations, software development, and infrastructure to maintain a high-performing and secure environment
• Customer Support: lead the IT team in delivering excellent internal customer service, analyzing business needs, and implementing innovative technology solutions.
• Project & Vendor Management: direct IT projects, manage vendor relationships, oversee system upgrades, and ensure smooth IT integration during acquisitions. 
• Governance & Compliance: maintain IT policies, enforce standards, ensure system consistency, and oversee IT budgeting and resource allocation. 
• Business Partnership & Innovation: collaborate with internal teams to prioritize enhancements, support digital transformation, and drive continuous improvement.

What we look for:

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related degree.
• Minimum 10 years' management experience in a mid-to-senior level IT position.
• Minimum 5 years' experience demonstrating advanced scope, authority, and output in terms of enhancing value-add IT services to the organization.
• Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations management.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, enterprise systems, and data management.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
